Why was PoliJobs founded?

PoliJobs was founded to fix a massive problem in the UK political and public policy sectors: extreme market fragmentation. For early-career professionals, politics graduates, and policy master’s students, finding entry-level vacancies like a Parliamentary Assistant in Westminster, a junior policy analyst at a think tank, or a junior account executive at a public affairs agency, has been notoriously difficult.

Positions are rarely centralised on mainstream sites like Reed or Indeed. Instead, they are all scattered across:

  • Dozens of different corporate Applicant Tracking Systems (like Greenhouse or Workable) used by boutique lobbying firms.
  • Individual MP websites or hidden party forums.
  • Specific, niche institutional mailing lists.

So, I'm trying to fix that.

PoliJobs was born out of pure frustration. I've watched brilliant graduates spend hours chasing scattered job links across dozens of different corporate sites just to find an entry policy role. I built this platform to level the playing field and centralise the entire political job market in one place.

The Mission

PoliJobs was built as a modern digital, utilising native automation and structured job aggregators, it pulls these scattered vacancies from across the sector and concentrates them into one clean, accessible, and real-time hub.

  • For Candidates: It eliminates the endless hours spent chasing hidden links, giving them a direct pipeline to the roles that launch meaningful careers in the public sector and public affairs.
  • For Employers: It bypasses the general noise of mass-market boards, connecting think tanks, NGOs, and agencies directly with a pre-filtered pool of highly motivated, politically literate talent.
