The Politics Project are recruiting a Education Programme Manager who will support the development and delivery of education materials and teacher training content at The Politics Project. Help schools and colleges to engage their young people in democracy as the voting age is reduced to 16 for all UK elections.
About The Politics Project
The Politics Project supports young people to use their voice by giving them access to brilliant democratic education. They work with young people, teachers, youth practitioners and politicians to help them learn about, teach and actively participate in democracy.
The Politics Project also leads the Democracy Classroom Network, a network of over 100 organisations across the democracy, education and youth sectors which support over 3,500 teachers and youth practitioners to engage young people in democracy.
About the role
Working with the Head of Education and Content, the Programme Manager will help teachers and practitioners to engage their students in elections and democratic education. They will support the design and adaptation of resources, practitioner training, events and activities as well as manage relationships with the schools and colleges.
This is a rare opportunity to support schools and colleges to prepare for major upcoming changes in democratic education, including the introduction of Votes at 16.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for somone who has a passion for democratic education and has experience of working with schools and colleges or supporting teachers or practitioners.
They will have outstanding project management, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work under pressure, identify priorities and effectively deliver against set targets to agreed deadlines.
